Denia is situated in the northern part of the Costa Blanca region, just one hour’s drive from Alicante and Valencia airports. Our holiday rentals are situated in the Club Nautico (Yacht Club and Marina), Las Marines, El Cortijo and Las Rotes areas of Denia. Denia is widely known as a highly cultural town and in the summer months in particular offers much in the way of fiestas. The famous Moors and Christians fiesta in August celebrates the town's lively history with stunning displays throughout the long holiday weekend. During the summer months Denia holds an International Music Festival. At the 'Musica al Castell' live music is performed in the beautiful surroundings of Denia castle each Friday evening. The Parc National Montgo is a conservation area as well as one of outstanding natural beauty and there are many recommended walks to suit all abilities, details of which are available from the Tourism Office. The Marine Reserve at Cap St Antonio (just a few minutes drive out of Denia) offers underwater sightseeing which is amongst the very best on the Costa Blanca. Denia is also perfect for those looking for a typical beach holiday, with its miles and miles of safe, clean, sandy beaches. For divers and snorkellers there are also plenty of rocky beaches ('Las Rotes') for exploring. Like many parts of Spain, the nightlife in Denia does not really start until the early hours especially during the Summer months. It is not unusual to see a large group of people sitting down for an al fresco dinner at midnight. The excellent shopping, particularly in and around the main thoroughfare, the tree-lined Marques de Campo, is another highlight of the town, especially the many shoe shops and small, stylish boutiques. Culturally, there is always something going on and in the Summer months Denia hosts free open-air concerts and children's entertainment in the centre of town. |
